Public Prosecutor General Office delegation visits China

(KPL) A high-ranking delegation of the Public Prosecutor General Office led by its head Mr. Somphanh Phengkhammy left here on Monday for a short working visit to China on 23-27 August at the invitation of Mr. Cao Jianming , Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of P.R. China.

The visit to China of the Public Prosecutor General Office is aimed at further strengthening the traditional friendship and co-operation between the two parties, states and people of China, especially between the Public Prosecutor General Office of the two countries.

During the visit, the Lao delegation will have a working session with its Chinese counterpart where the sides expect to discuss and exchange their views on how to implement their MoU signed in Vientiane in 2009.

They will also discuss a number of issues including the joint declaration of the ASEAN–China, convention between Laos and China on extradition, and other common issues.
