Winners of short fiction story and poem awarded
(KPL) The Lao Author's Association, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism awarded congratulatory certificates with cash prize to winners of the categories of short fictions and poem contest entitled "rural development and poverty reduction for people".
The winner was awarded 3 million kip and the first and second runners-up were awarded 2 million kip and 1.5 million kip respectively.
Ten contestants were given congratulatory awards with 500,000 kip in cash.
Mrs. Phonsavanh who has a pen name "Koulam Neau", was the winner of short fictions category theme "Ta Ven Kheun Thi Nam San or the Sun rises on Nam San River".
The first runner-up was Bounmy Teacher story composed by Yaeng Philakone.
The second runners-up were Mr. Somchay Chanthavong and Phet Meangpuan.
The winner of poem category was Mr. Bounthavy Champathong won the prize for"Dawn in Ban Na".
The first runner-up was Mrs. Somchanh Bouapha under the theme of "A Letter from Rural Area" and the second runner-up were Mr. Say-Oukeut and Soulin Khetsopha.
