French proficiency competition to be held early March
(KPL) The Francophonie University Agency (AUF) in the Lao PDR will hold a French spoken and written proficiency competition (Dynamique 2012) on March 3, 2012.
“The objective of the competition is to decide the Lao winners to compete at regional competition also to be held in Vientiane on March 31,” Head of the Francophonie University Agency in the Lao PDR Mr. Bernard Vanthomme told a press conference on Monday.
Over 90 students from nine faculties of the National University of Laos and the University of Health Sciences are expected to participate in the competition early next month and the winners will compete against rivals from Cambodia and Vietnam at the Dongdok campus, National University of Laos.
The competition is part of celebrating the international francophonie festival, according to Mr. Bernard.
The following is prize breaks:
1st prize: 3 million kip for the national competition and 12 million kip for the regional contest.
