Meeting held to disseminate regulations on cosmetics
(KPL) A meeting was held to disseminate the regulations on the usage of cosmetics. This meeting was chaired by Mr Somthavy Jangvisommit, director of the Food and Drugs Department, Ministry of Public Health, in Vientiane on 15 July.
The purposes of the meeting are to get organisations concerned to better understand the regulations on Asian cosmetics, to monitor and control cosmetic products imported from Asian countries and to ensure that consumers in the ASEAN countries use cosmetics that are safe and friendly to their skin.
At the end of the meeting some of the participants said they now have a better understanding on how to inspect cosmetics and the cosmetic businessmen added that they now have a good knowledge on the regulations on cosmetics in the ASEAN context.
