Late President Souphanouvong remembered
(KPL) The Kaysone Phomvihane museum administrative committee in cooperation with the family of late President Souphanouvong, organised a ceremony to mark the late President Souphanouvong’s 99th
birth anniversary (13/07/1909-13/07/2004).
The activity was aimed to pay a floral tribute to late President Souphanouvong who sacrificed all his lives for the national revolution and development.
President Souphanouvong was born on Tuesday, 13 July 1909, in the royal family, at That Luang village, Luang Prabang province. When he was seven years old, he went to Luang Prabang primary school, which was located at Houalat village, where there were Lao and French teachers. He was very good in study during the primary school.
On this occasion, the Kaysone Phomvihane museum administrative committee also organised a number of activities to mark late President Souphanouvong birthday including sports competition.
President Souphanouvong was one of Lao leaders who involved in the task of the Lao revolution since 1945. He brought the prosperity and new guidance to the people and the nation.
