Lao Tourism Business Association introduces new head

(KPL) The Lao Tourism Business Association has appointed Mr Bouakhao Phomsouvanh as its new president replacing Mrs Vaiyakone Phothisane.
The appointment was announced in a ceremony held on Tuesday at Lane Xang Hotel in Vientiane with the participation of Deputy President of the Lao National Tourism Administration (LNTA) Mr Soukaseum Bothisane and relevant officials.
The association was established in 2004 in accordance with the agreement of the Minister and President of the Lao National Tourism Administration (LNTA) and the agreement of the Prime Minister No 91 dated on 30 June 2004.
The association is the representative of local tourism businesses and protects their interests in line with the Party’s policy.
The association groups together 62 tour operators and companies including 73 located in Vientiane and 55 in the provinces nationwide.
There are 128 tour operators and companies functioning across the country.
