Journalist sang a South Pacific song to Aluna
(KPL) When Aluna was being interviewed by a KPL News journalist in the Tata Cafe, Vientiane, last week, she sang two songs, a Lao classical opera song and the other was a popular Lao song and it was meant to amplify her view that dreams could come true.
The journalist was so mesmerized by her fine vocal voice and beauty that he simply gawked at her, felt small and hadn’t the courage to reciprocate appropriately.
However, he willed himself to be courageous and he sang for her, “Po kare kare ana,” a song from the South Pacific and made famous by Kiri Te Kanawa, a Maori from New Zealand, and the number one mezzo soprano on the planet.
