Lao-Viet tour caravan gives education equipment to Houai Sane school

(KPL) The Lao-Viet Tour Caravan of tour operators last week gave educational equipment to the Houai Sane Primary School in Sepon district, Savannakhet province, to support the education of the students.

The caravan has travelled from Vientiane to Vietnamese provinces of Da Nang, Nghe An between 25 and 29 August, 2010. The trip was aimed to raise fund for assisting vulnerable students.

The donation worth 4 million kip, includes notebooks, pens, pencils, and food items.

The caravan was joined by participants from the National Tourism Administration, the Millicom Lao (Tigo), the Rattana College and the Chuern Travel Company.

The handover of the donation was performed by Director of Chuern Travel Company Mr. Manivanh Boutdavong, and Director of Houai Sane Primary School Ms. Manivanh Phengphongphanh.

Witnessing the event were Head of the Education Office in Sepon District Mr. Soukdala Thepphasay and local authorities.
