Education Minister urges further development of education
(KPL) Minister of Education, Mr. Phankham Philavanh, has sent a letter to teachers, students and ethnic people across the country, asking them to further contribute to the development of education for this 2010-2011 academic year.
In his letter, the Minister urges educational organizations and institutes at all levels to disseminate the resolution of the educational executives’ nationwide meeting held earlier this year.
He asked them to devise a clear plan on materializing the meeting ‘s resolution and recruiting new teachers, continue improving schooling infrastructure especially, schools, and prepare educational equipments as well as pay attention to capacity building of teachers and increase the enrolment rate of children.
He also urged proper materialization of government policy on welfare treatment of teachers and the prompt preparation for cerebrating the National Teachers’ Day, October 7.
