Bokeo –Son Lao further cooperation on comprehensive development
(KPL) A meeting to further cooperation on comprehensive development between the Bokeo province and Son La province of Vietnam was held on January 9 in Bokeo province.
The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Khammane Souvileut, member of the Party CC, Secretary of the Bokeo Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Bokeo province and Mr. Thao Xuan Sung, member of the CPVCC, Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee and Chair of the Son La Provincial People’s Council.
During the meeting, the sides respectively briefed each other on their social-economic development made during the 2011-2012 period, especially on the national defence and security affairs, political building at the grass root level and rural development. They also talked about their cooperation on drug control.
The two sides also agreed to further their cooperation and assistance for the year of 2012 in which the Son La province of Vietnam has asked the Bokeo province to provide Pala rubber tree while the Son La province will offer material for drug control and develop human resource for Bokeo province.
