Law on People’s Court put forth to NA 8th session

(KPL) Mr. Khammy Sayavong, President of the Lao People’s Supreme Court, presented a revised version of the law on people’s court to the 8th ordinary session of the National Assembly’s Sixth Legislature last Thursday. The version drew much attention and hot debate among lawmakers.
The meeting was chaired by the National Assembly President Thongsing Thammavong.
The debate centred on article 5 on basic procedures on the prosecution of the court, article 9 on the equal rights of a citizen to receive the fair and equal treatment of law and the court, article 13 on the determination of language in the prosecution, and article 46 on the determination of the qualification of the judge.

Vice President visits Xiengkhouang to see socio-economic development

Ho Chi Minh Memorial to be built in Khammouane

(KPL) The Party Central Committee Secretariat has decided to construct Ho Chi Minh Memorial in Xiengvang Village, Nongbok district, Khammouane province. The memorial will be constructed on an area of 8,200 square metres by the Vietnam Airport Construction Co (ACC). SEA Games football schedules released
